We maintain community in prayer and careful formation, and encourage members to attend retreat once a year if possible, but this is by no means required.

Members are not required to support the Order in any way.

Oblates can be of any Christian denomination, although individuals seeking profession must be  [or be willing to become] members of a church in Apostolic Succession, i.e., Roman, Anglican, Orthodox or Old Catholic for example. Our tradition and theology is founded in the Patristic and Apostolic Fathers, and as a consequence our faith and practice is liturgical as well.

Married members [and we define marriage as a sacred union between one man and one woman only] must have a signed letter of consent from their spouse before they can be admitted to either the First or Second Order of membership.

While our spiritual traditions developed out of the Anglican [English] tradition, and therefore the Western Church, we also study the Orthodox [Eastern] early writers and great thinkers. As a consequence our theology and ceremonial reflects this blend of East and West.
